About CREW

CREW supports the Scottish Government and its delivery partners to inform and steer water policy, by delivering objective and robust water research at the science : policy interface.
Hydrological Extremes, Coasts and Risk Management

CREW research focuses on improving understanding of climate-water-human interactions from source to sea, flooding and water scarcity, nature based solutions, and resilience and adaptation.
Land and Water Resource Management

CREW research focuses on providing high quality science knowledge on land use and soil management, diffuse pollution, natural capital, net zero, circular economy and blue-green infrastructure.
Water Quality and Health

CREW research focuses on improving understanding of the interrelationships between water quality, human and environmental health, considering drinking water, wastewater, drainage, epidemiology and contaminants in the environment.
