Land and Water Resource Management

The Land and Water Resource Management theme considers the relationship between water and land management, detection and mitigation of diffuse pollution and resource recovery and reuse.

The projects within this theme will inform regulation and policy in areas which include nature capital, land use and urbanisation and post ‘common agricultural policy’ rural support.

CRW2023_01: Hydro Sector engagement over environmentally effective and cost-efficient sediment management at hydro offtakes

Type of project: Capacity Building

Aim: The project aims to raise awareness in the hydro sector of the commercial and environmental risks posed by climate change-related increases in the rate of sediment delivery to hydro impoundments.

CRW2023_05: Future predictions of water scarcity in Scotland: impacts to distilleries and agricultural abstractors

Type of project: Capacity Building

Aim: The aim of this project is to provide summaries of the future predictions of water scarcity in Scotland and the impacts this may have tailored to three groups of abstractors: crop producers, livestock producers and distilleries.
